[EL004] Jack Hertz - Alpha Syntauri

We are quite pleased to release Jack's "Alpha Syntauri" at Ethereal Live. This marks our first planeterium gig to be archived on the netlabel. Even more notable, Jack played this set 20 years ago, but the music does not suffer from the long shelf life of this recording. Jack performed this concert at the Montgomery College Planetarium in Silver Spring, Maryland on May 25, 1991. Alpha Syntauri is quite a blend of sounds, and easily could have just been recorded just yesterday. Download it now at http://ethereallive.wordpress.com/2011/09/01/el004-jack-hertz-alpha-syn…

L.A.B. Tracks: A Benefit Compilation for Sasha Shulgin

I am extremely honored to be part of this project. There are few times in life when our inspirations align with our aspirations and the two can serve one another. Alexander "Sasha" Shulgin is probably the most important chemist alive. In addition to rediscovering MDMA and popularizing its therapeutic use, he also synthesized hundreds of new psychoactive chemicals and - with his wife and companion Ann - chronicled their effects in the extraordinary detail of two legendary volumes, PIKHAL & TIKHAL. I am asking your help to contribute to this project to support Sasha Shulgin who is gravely ill and in need of medical funds. This man has given us so much. It is time we return a small favor to him in kind. For a donation of $5 USD you will get over 2 hours of music with a beautiful cover artwork made by the incredible visonary artist Alex Grey. At very least, please share this news to help Sasha Shulgin. Donate and download the album now at http://bit.ly/shulginbenefit

Here is the cover to the original tape that was never released. "Pointillism" will be No. 3 in my Cassette Classics series. Watch for new videos being added to in the player. Stay tuned for more release info soon.
